Our Vision Statement

The vision of Stevensville Bible Chapel is to cultivate a well equipped, unified, and spiritually mature body of believers who actively serve the Lord by exercising the gifts God has given to each individual. The Word of God must remain central in equipping believers for service. Scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).

We emphasize the unity of the body of Christ, of which Christ Himself is the Head (Colossians 1:18) and the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4). The Apostle Paul uses the physical body as an illustration to explain how the spiritual body of Christ should function within a local church. Just as a human body is made up of many parts working together, the body of Christ consists of many members, each arranged by God exactly as He intended (1 Corinthians 12:12 to 26).

We seek to encourage spiritual maturity by providing opportunities for every believer to discover and exercise their spiritual gifts. We also encourage each member to be actively involved in sharing the gospel and participating in evangelism (1 Thessalonians 1:7 to 8).

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

Hebrews 10:23 to 25

Each member of the body is encouraged to participate in fellowship through worship, prayer, service, and evangelism, both within church gatherings and through personal relationships. Church meetings and ministries are designed to establish believers firmly in the Word of God, with a strong emphasis on living out what is taught in practical daily life (Philippians 4:9) and faithfully passing these truths on to others (2 Timothy 2:2; Hebrews 10:24 to 25).

Prayer will remain the foundation of our desire to fulfill the Great Commission. The early church was born in prayer (Acts 1:14), and we recognize that we cannot expect God’s blessing without fervent corporate prayer (Acts 10:2; Acts 13:3).

The fellowship of believers at Stevensville Bible Chapel will be marked by a deep love for the Lord and for one another (John 15:12; 1 John 4:7 to 21). We encourage the expression of this love for the Lord as we gather each week to break bread together in remembrance of Christ, in response to His command (1 Corinthians 11:23 to 26).

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow in every way into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
